Key Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Monitor patient vital signs and condition, reporting any changes
- Interpret telemetry readings and respond to alarms
- Manage and care for patients with chest tubes
- Assist patients with respiratory support devices such as CPAP and BiPAP
- Administer blood products safely and effectively
- Provide care for patients with central lines, including PICC lines and ports
- Manage and titrate IV drips, including Cardizem and Heparin
- Administer Amiodarone drips as prescribed
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
- Educate patients and families on health conditions and treatment plans
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records
- Float to all Telemetry or Medical-Surgical units
- Float to ED Hold
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience
- Registered Nurse (RN) License
