Radiologic Technologist - X-Ray
Job Description\n
The Radiologic Technologist - X-Ray is responsible for performing a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment and ingenuity. This role necessitates a proactive approach to applying appropriate skills for accurate diagnoses while ensuring proper care of clients in accordance with departmental and hospital policies and procedures.

- Perform X-Ray imaging procedures and ensure the quality of the images produced.
- Exercise independent judgment and demonstrate initiative to facilitate accurate diagnoses.
- Supervise and instruct department personnel as assigned by managerial staff.
- Adhere to infection control protocols and body substance isolation practices.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and demonstrate competency in using PACS, HIS, and RIS computer systems.
- Attend annual mandatory education sessions, including bloodborne pathogens and infection control.
- Maintain current competencies as required for the role.

Qualifications\n
- \n
- Minimum of 2 years of experience, with at least 1 year of current experience required.
- ARRT (R) Certification is mandatory.
- Experience with Meditech Expanse is strongly preferred.
- Active Massachusetts Radiologic Technologist License is required; proof of application may also be accepted.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or ARC is required.
- Must possess a personal vehicle for transportation needs.
- Excellent patient care skills are essential.

Work Schedule\n
This position is scheduled for 30 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with weekend coverage required every other weekend and possibly on holidays. Additionally, the technologist may be required to take call to cover absences.
Additional Information\n
Requested time off must be noted at the time of application, with a maximum of 5 days accepted. All scheduling requests need to be made at the time of submission; late requests will not be accommodated. Travelers are required to work during key holidays, including Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s, as needed.
