Pride Health is hiring a Surgical Technologist to support our client’s medical facility in Springfield, MA. This is a 14-week assignment (Possibility of extension or conversion) opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

- Weekly Gross: $2300
Job Summary:
Baystate Health is seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist to join its Level I Trauma Center. This role involves supporting a variety of surgical specialties including Orthopedic (Total Joint), Neuro, Robotic, Trauma, and Thoracic procedures within a high-acuity inpatient operating room. Candidates with CVOR experience or the ability to scrub are highly preferred.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain sterile surgical fields and instruments for various specialties including trauma and thoracic cases
- Assist surgeons and OR teams during complex and robotic-assisted procedures
- Support general and CVOR surgeries, including open cardiac and vascular/endovascular cases
- Ensure infection control standards, proper documentation, and patient safety
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary surgical teams to ensure smooth workflow in a fast-paced environment
Education & Certification:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program
- CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) required
- BLS (AHA only) required
Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a Level I Trauma hospital required
- Strong background in Ortho (Total Joint), Neuro, Robotics, Trauma, and Thoracic surgeries
- Experience in open cardiac, vascular, and endovascular cases preferred
- Ability to scrub is a plus
- Excellent knowledge of sterile techniques, surgical instruments, and OR procedures
- Strong teamwork, adaptability, and communication skills
