Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A contract Special Education Teacher is needed to work in a mental health and behavior self-contained classroom serving middle school-aged learners. Qualifications:
- Current New Hampshire Teaching License (required)
- Experience supporting students with behavioral and mental health needs, preferably in a self-contained classroom
- Background in case management, IEP development, and specialized instruction
- Ability to perform student evaluations and contribute to progress reports
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead instruction and behavioral support for a self-contained caseload of approximately 10-16 students
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate regularly with mental health professionals, school leadership, and families
- Complete all necessary documentation, including evaluations and progress reports
- Participate in interdisciplinary meetings to support student success
- Foster a safe, positive, and consistent learning environment
This contract position runs from September 1, 2026, through June 16, 2027, with school hours from 7:30 AM to 2:20 PM, and a weekly schedule of 32.5-35 hours. Compensation for this meaningful work is competitive, allowing you to focus on student growth and professional fulfillment.
