This full-time contract position is available immediately and runs through mid-June 2027. Key Qualifications:
- Valid Massachusetts Special Education Teaching Certification (required)
- Experience in a substantially separate or similar special education classroom preferred
- Ability to effectively teach and nurture students across multiple grade levels
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Dedication to individualized instruction and creating an inclusive classroom
- Positive attitude and demonstrated commitment to student success
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and adapt lesson plans to meet individual student needs
- Guide and inspire a classroom of students with varying abilities in grades 2 and 3
- Collaborate with paraprofessionals, support staff, and related service providers
- Assess student progress regularly and modify instruction appropriately
- Communicate effectively with families and build a supportive learning community
- Maintain accurate records and adhere to all state and school policies
