In this role, you'll work with a small caseload of students in grades 2, 3, and 4, providing focused instruction and individualized support. Your experience in reading and math, coupled with strong classroom management skills, will be key as you collaborate with colleagues and engage families in students’ learning journeys. The school is seeking a confident educator with hands-on experience using NHSEIS and a familiarity with IEP processes. Those available for full-time schedules are preferred, but there is flexibility to consider exceptional candidates interested in part-time (3 days/week) arrangements.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current licensure or eligibility as a Special Education Teacher
- Prior experience in self-contained classroom settings
- Comfortable working with students in elementary grades, especially 2nd–4th
- Proficient in delivering differentiated reading and math instruction
- Demonstrated experience with NHSEIS or similar platforms for case management and compliance documentation
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs for assigned students
- Create and maintain a structured, supportive classroom environment
- Deliver targeted instruction in reading and math aligned to students’ goals
- Regularly document progress, communicate with families, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
- Maintain compliance with all state, local, and program requirements
