Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A 1:1 nursing position is available for an RN or LPN to provide essential care and transportation support for a medically fragile student. This role supports a Special Education van route, transporting the student from home to school and back, ensuring safety and preparation during each trip.
Location:
- Based in Billerica, MA, supporting transportation to a school setting in Lexington, MA.
- Position is for a K-12 school environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the student with preparation for transportation each morning and afternoon.
- Provide nursing care during the van rides between home and school.
- Collaborate with the onsite nurse at the out-of-district educational placement.
- Float within the district to support additional nursing assignments as needed.
Qualifications:
- Valid RN or LPN license required.
- Experience in school nursing preferred.
- Ability to work a Monday through Friday schedule from approximately 7:00-7:30 AM until 2:00 PM.
- Comfort with providing one-on-one care for medically fragile students.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
Contract and Duration:
- Contract position lasting through the current school year (CSY), ending June 2026.
- Immediate availability preferred.
