Join a well respected community health center with multiple locations south of Boston.
The Director of Nursing and Clinical Services will have primaryresponsibility for overseeing and coordinating the clinical staff and functionsacross multi service delivery sites. Facilitate the design, implementation and delivery ofpatient care, recommending strategies to improve services, reaching establishedgoals, maintaining satisfactory outcomes and creating a clinical andoperational environment that fosters teamwork, collaboration and serviceexcellence. Will be required to provide hands on nursing coverage as needed.
Core Responsibilities
· Recommends, implements and problem solves activities regardingdepartment and site clinical operational issues in close collaboration with theCMO and site physician leads.
· Provides direct oversight and supervision to nursing and medicalsupport including, Nurses, Medical Assistants and Care Managers.
· Establishes, and maintains nursing and medical support staffschedules to ensure adequate staffing levels are met and align with clinic andpatient needs.
· Orients staff, providing necessary training and education toensure optimal levels of performance and quality standards are met.
· Collaborate with the CMO, COO, Lead Physicians and sitespecific Lead Nurses to provide safe and quality patient care.
· Designs, develops and implements training programs to ensureservice excellence at all clinic sites. Lead the development and implementationof departmental orientation and competency-based trainings for nursing andmedical support staff.
· Ensures that patient-care, clinical, operational and staffingstandards are met.
· Develops patient-care programs, manages nursing budgets, andplans new patient services.
· Prepares policies and procedures, participates incross-departmental decision making, conduct performance improvement activitiesand represent point of service/care at requisite meetings as appropriate.
· Will be required to provide hands-on nursing coverage as needed.
· Ensuring that nursing standards and support are upheld
· Maintaining regulatory and compliance approvals andaccreditations
· Ensuring that operations comply with established standards andregulations
· Preparing and overseeing business reports, including annualbudgets
· Directing personnel functions, including recruiting, hiring andretention of staff, and handling disciplinary actions in conjunction andpartnership with the Director, Human Resources.
Requirements
1.Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree-Required. Master of Science inNursing (MSN) degree-Preferred
2. Requires a minimum of 8-10 years clinical nursing experienceplus a minimum of 5 years’ experience in relevant leadership/management
