Ideal candidates will bring the following:

  • Valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT) or Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)
  • Experience practicing within school and/or healthcare settings
  • Understanding of IEP processes and familiarity with documentation requirements for educational settings
  • Comfort working with a diverse caseload covering elementary through high school populations
  • Collaborative approach to working with teachers, support staff, parents, and other therapists
  • Strong assessment, communication, and organizational skills

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing physical therapy services in accordance with student IEPs and district guidelines
  • Developing treatment plans aimed at maximizing each student’s potential for independence and participation
  • Delivering therapies that support motor skill development, mobility, and accessibility in the educational environment
  • Documenting progress and maintaining timely communication with educational teams and families
  • Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings and contributing to a collaborative care approach
  • Adapting intervention strategies to meet varied learning styles, ages, and abilities
