Job Title: Project Engineer
Location: South Burlington, VT
Employment Type: Full-Time, Contract (1 Base Year + 1 Option Year)
Job Summary: We are seeking an Project Engineer to provide technical expertise in project development, design, and construction support for the Air National Guard. You will oversee construction project execution, perform technical reviews, and manage documentation for various federal projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design & Review: Provide technical review comments on drawings and specifications for multiple engineering disciplines to ensure code compliance and constructability.
- Site Inspections: Conduct daily site visits during construction activity, providing detailed reports on labor, materials, and safety compliance using AF Form 1477.
- Project Management: Maintain comprehensive spreadsheets tracking federal construction projects, bid dates, and programming deadlines.
- Engineering Procurement & Design Support: Prepare construction bid documents for Sustainment, Repair, and Maintenance (SRM) projects, coordinate pre-bid site visits, and record meeting minutes.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, or Architecture from an ABET-accredited institution.
- Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of post-graduation professional experience in facilities design, facilities engineering, or construction project management.
- Licensure: Current Professional Engineer (PE) or Registered Architect (RA) license is highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and MS Office (Word/Excel); knowledge of DoD Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC) is a plus.
- Security: Must be able to pass a Tier 1 background investigation to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC)
