This opportunity is ideal for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) with a passion for providing specialized care in a school setting. Work closely with a high school student requiring tube feeds and related medical support, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment throughout the school day.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid LPN or CNA license in Massachusetts (LPN preferred)
- Experience or confidence handling tube feeds, flushes, and blowouts
- Compassionate, reliable, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Commitment to confidentiality and professional healthcare standards
- Prior experience in schools or with adolescent populations is a plus
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct nursing care to a high school female student during the school day
- Manage and administer tube feedings, flushes, and blowouts as necessary
- Monitor student condition and document care activities accurately
- Communicate health updates to school staff while maintaining confidentiality
- Respond promptly to any health emergencies or concerns
- Support a safe, inclusive environment while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
Role Details:
- Contract position: 32 hours per week
- Schedule: 7:00 am – 2:00 pm, Monday through Friday (30-minute unpaid lunch break)
