The Town of Brewster is currently seeking applicants for a Custodian at the Captains Golf Course, a premier two 18-hole golf course. This position is responsible for routine custodial, grounds-keeping, and interior/exterior maintenance work in connection with the care and upkeep of the Captains Golf Course facilities.
Duties include, but are not limited to, perform daily cleaning of buildings, including dusting, cleaning glass, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors in offices, restrooms, and common areas. Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, and fixtures, and restock supplies such as soap, paper towels, and tissue. Collect, remove, and properly dispose of trash and recycling from offices, restrooms, and common areas. Performs minor/basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry and mechanical repairs. Prepare meeting and conference rooms for meetings and events.
High School diploma required and a minimum of 1 year experience in the maintenance of buildings preferred, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
This is a full time 40 hour a week position, covered under the SEIU union agreement, with a pay range of $25.54 - $31.42 per hour, starting pay depending on qualifications and experience; with a work schedule of Tuesday – Saturday.
