Make a meaningful impact supporting students as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing in a collaborative, school-based contract role. This opportunity allows you to work closely with students across four schools, focusing exclusively on a Haverhill caseload. You’ll provide essential educational services and advocacy, fostering student success and inclusion. The contract runs through June 2027, with a per-diem schedule of 1-2 days per week, all in person in a welcoming educational environment.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid and active MA Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing License (TODHH) issued by DESE
  • Proven experience working with Deaf or Hard of Hearing students in a school setting preferred
  • Strong communication skills in supporting students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Ability to adapt teaching strategies to a variety of student ages and learning needs
  • Commitment to working onsite and traveling between 4 schools in the Haverhill area

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct instruction and support to Deaf/Hard of Hearing students across multiple school sites
  • Develop and implement IEP goals and accommodations tailored to individual needs
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to maximize student engagement and success
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation for student progress and compliance purposes
  • Serve as an advocate for Deaf/Hard of Hearing students, promoting an inclusive learning environment
