Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A contract opportunity is available for a School Psychologist to cover maternity leave at a middle school serving grades 5 through 8 in Cambridge, MA. The assignment runs from February 2nd through May 15th, with a daily schedule from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. This role is suited for professionals seeking either full-time or part-time engagements.

Key responsibilities include conducting initial evaluations and re-evaluations to support student assessment processes. Proficiency with IEP platforms, specifically Frontline, is essential to effectively manage documentation and reporting requirements. Collaboration with school leadership, including the principal and assistant principal, will be integral, although this position operates as the sole school psychologist within the building. However, district-level resources and additional school psychologists are available to provide support and guidance as needed.

Desired qualifications and experience:

  • Certified School Psychologist credential meeting state requirements
  • Experience administering psychological assessments and interpreting results for school-aged children
  • Familiarity with IEP development and compliance, specifically within Frontline or similar systems
  • Strong organizational and communication skills for interfacing with students, families, and school staff
  • Ability to work independently within a single-school assignment while engaging with district support networks
