Job DescriptionTravel Registered Nurse – Cardiac Catheterization Lab (Cath Lab)

Location: Hyannis, Massachusetts
Job Type: Travel Contract (13 Weeks)
Pay Rate: $82.00 - $92.00/hour (Based on Experience)
Weekly Hours: 40 Hours
Shift: Days (Rotating)
Schedule: 5 x 8-Hour Shifts Per Week
Shift Times: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM | 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
On-Call: Required (Nights, Weekends, and Holidays)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join a high-volume Cardiac Catheterization Lab. The ideal candidate will possess strong cardiovascular interventional nursing experience, critical care expertise, and advanced hemodynamic monitoring skills while providing exceptional care throughout the procedural and recovery phases.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.

• Active Massachusetts RN License.

• Current BLS Certification.

• Current ACLS Certification.

• Completion of IABP (Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump) Course.

• Strong telemetry, IV therapy, and critical care experience.

• Experience with hemodynamic monitoring and cardiovascular patient care.

• Experience managing vasoactive medications and cardiac drips.

• Strong assessment, critical-thinking, and communication skills.

• Ability to work rotating shifts and participate in on-call coverage.

Preferred Qualifications

• Recent Cardiac Catheterization Lab experience.

• Experience assisting with PCI, ablation, pacemaker/ICD, and TAVR procedures.

• BSN preferred.

• CCRN Certification preferred.

• CRN Certification preferred.

• Strong critical care or cardiac stepdown experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care for cardiac catheterization and interventional cardiology patients.

• Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures.

• Assist with PCI, ablation, pacemaker/ICD placement, and TAVR procedures.

• Administer and titrate medications, including vasoactive drips.

• Perform post-procedure recovery and hemodynamic monitoring.

• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.

• Operate safely within radiation-controlled procedural environments.

• Assist with advanced cardiac support equipment, including IABP devices.

• Collaborate with cardiologists, technologists, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.

• Educate patients and families regarding procedures and recovery expectations.

• Participate in on-call coverage for nights, weekends, and holidays.
