Empower young learners by supporting students in grades 3-5 through meaningful special education services. This full-time contract opportunity offers the chance to make a tangible difference in the classroom while working within the supportive setting of a vibrant school community. Your schedule will align with school hours, from 8:25 AM to 3:30 PM, with additional time reserved until 4:30 PM to collaborate with colleagues and attend meetings, ensuring cohesive support for every student.
Qualifications:
- Valid special education certification appropriate for grades 3–5
- Experience working with elementary-age students with diverse learning needs
- Strong collaborative skills for teamwork with teachers, staff, and families
- Excellent communication and organization abilities
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and respectful classroom environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and adapt lesson plans to meet individualized education program (IEP) goals
- Provide direct instruction and interventions tailored to student needs
- Monitor, assess, and document student progress in collaboration with evaluation teams
- Maintain regular communication with families regarding student growth and support strategies
- Participate in IEP meetings, staff meetings, and professional development sessions
- Create a supportive and positive classroom environment that encourages growth and confidence for all learners
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to ensure student success
