About the Role:
Floor Coverings International of Lowell is looking for an experienced LVP/Laminate & Hardwood Installer to provide ongoing professional installation services for our customers in the Greater Lowell area. Our primary need is for residential installations but we also service commercial clients.
We’re seeking a reliable, skilled installer who takes pride in quality workmanship and attention to detail. You’ll complete LVP, laminate, and/or hardwood installations directly in customers’ homes, ensuring each project is completed professionally and efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Measure, cut, and install LVP, laminate, and hardwood flooring
- Prepare and level subfloors
- Install flooring according to manufacturer specifications
- Make accurate cuts around walls, corners, and fixtures
- Install transitions and trim
- Ensure quality, professional finishes
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Communicate professionally with customers
- Sand and finishing of wood flooring
Requirements:
- Proven experience: demonstrate expertise in the flooring application that you specialize in
- Reliable transportation and tools: You must have your own transportation and tools to do the jobs you’re contracted for. Must have to ability to deliver materials to the job site and haul away waste
- Punctuality: We understand that things happen; but we want to make sure that we all agree on a time we can confidently relay that to the client
- Attention to detail: Top notch workmanship and an eye for detail
- Customer service skills: Excellent communication with a service-oriented attitude
- Proficient in English: Must be able to effectively communicate in English.
Contractor Status:
- This is a 1099 independent contractor/subcontractor position, not a W-2 employee position
- Installer will be responsible for providing their own standard tools and reliable transportation
- Contractors are responsible for their own taxes, insurance, and other applicable business expenses
- Work is scheduled on a project-by-project basis based on customer needs and availability
- Compensation and project details will be discussed during the interview process
Rates
Hardwood: $2.50-$6 per Sq Ft
LVP/Laminate: $2-$3 per Sq Ft
