This role focuses on leave coverage from November through March and involves working closely with students, educators, and families to enhance student success. Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Master's degree or higher in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
- Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT)
- Prior experience or strong interest in school-based practice (K-12 preferred)
- Familiarity with IEP processes, therapy documentation, and collaborative educational teams
- Ability to adapt services for a wide range of student abilities and grade levels
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapy services to students from kindergarten through 12th grade, primarily in an individual and small-group setting
- Develop and implement treatment plans in accordance with each student’s Individualized Education Program (IEP)
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and family members to support students’ physical development and access to the curriculum
- Maintain accurate records, including session notes and progress reports
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings as needed
- Offer expertise and training to school professionals regarding physical development and mobility
