Registered Nurse – LTC (Travel) schedule in a long-term care nursing home setting in Berlin, Vermont, United States. Start date: 08/03/2026 for a 4-week assignment. - Travel stipulations: mileage-based rate tiering; 101+ miles travel, 51–100 miles radius, local ≤50 miles
- Compliance: license on file at time of submission; comprehensive background checks and onboarding requirements
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to residents in a LTC setting, including assessment, monitoring, and documentation
- Administer medications and IV therapy as trained; ensure accurate MAR entries and EMR updates
- Implement and adjust care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
- Respond to urgent changes in patient condition; initiate appropriate interventions and escalation
- Support residents with activities of daily living; manage dementia-related care with a person-centered approach
- Maintain safety, infection control, and quality standards; complete accurate shift handoffs and charting
- Willingness to float to other units as needed to meet unit and patient needs
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license; license on file at time of submission; license verification required
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a LTC clinical setting
- Prior travel nursing experience preferred
- BLS certification through American Heart Association
- Ability to administer IV therapy as required
- Must be comfortable caring for residents with dementia
- Willing to float to other units as needed; able to work Monday–Sunday schedules as assigned
- Background checks: 7-year nationwide background check with county searches, FACIS-3, and sex offender registry within 18 months of start; FACIS-3 and VCIC checks within 30 days of start
- Public transportation is not accessible; reliable personal or rental transportation recommended; vehicles should have all-season or snow tires November–April
- Readiness to disclose any employment gaps of 90 days or more on submission; no block scheduling
