Franklin County Rehab is seeking an experienced Director of Rehabilitation to lead our rehabilitation department and support high-quality patient care.

About the Role

The Director of Rehabilitation will oversee the day-to-day operations of the rehabilitation department, provide leadership to therapy staff, and ensure patients receive coordinated, effective rehabilitation services.

We are looking for an experienced Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) rehabilitation leader or therapist with significant SNF experience who understands the clinical, operational, and regulatory needs of a skilled nursing environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the rehabilitation department and therapy team

• Coordinate rehabilitation services based on individual patient needs

• Provide clinical leadership, guidance, and support to therapy staff

• Collaborate with nursing, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members on patient care plans

• Monitor the quality and effectiveness of rehabilitation services

• Ensure compliance with applicable clinical, regulatory, and facility standards

• Support staff development, training, and performance

• Monitor department operations, productivity, and outcomes

• Participate in care planning, interdisciplinary meetings, and quality improvement initiatives

• Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and referral partners

• Maintain strong relationships with facility leadership and the interdisciplinary team

• Stay current with rehabilitation best practices and industry standards

Requirements

• Previous Director of Rehabilitation experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) strongly preferred

• Therapists with significant Skilled Nursing Facility experience and demonstrated leadership ability will also be considered

• Current Massachusetts professional license in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Speech-Language Pathology

• Strong understanding of rehabilitation services within a skilled nursing environment

• Experience supervising, mentoring, or leading therapy staff

• Strong clinical, organizational, and communication skills

• Ability to manage department operations while maintaining a strong focus on patient care

• Knowledge of skilled nursing, post-acute rehabilitation, and regulatory requirements

• Commitment to patient-centered care and interdisciplinary collaboration
