This Registered Nurse (RN) position in the Newport Health Center / New London Hospital Family Medicine outpatient clinic offers a permanent, full-time opportunity with no weekends or on-call duties. You will provide comprehensive nursing care in a family medicine setting, working closely with providers and clinical staff to support patient health through assessments, treatments, and education during regular day shifts.
Position: Permanent Registered Nurse (RN) – Clinic
Schedule: Days, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, 40 hrs/week
Possible: Monday/Wednesday shifts may extend until 7:00 PM
Weekend: None;
On-Call: None
Responsibilities
- Perform patient assessments and nursing evaluations
- Provide medications, treatments, and nursing interventions
- Assist providers with examinations and procedures
- Conduct telephone and in-person patient triage
- Deliver patient and family education and counseling
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately
- Recognize and respond to changes in patient condition
- Coordinate care with providers and clinical staff
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Delegate tasks in accordance with the NH Nurse Practice Act
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year nursing experience
- Active New Hampshire RN license (compact license accepted; pending NH license considered)
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- License verification through Nursys
Pay
- Salary: $36.27–$50.92/hour
