Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This full-time Special Education Teacher position supports a K-12 school near Greenfield, MA, serving students with moderate disabilities. The role focuses primarily on a middle school caseload, providing specialized instruction tailored to individual student needs. The contract spans the 2025-2026 school year, offering a structured, rewarding environment for professionals dedicated to enhancing educational outcomes for diverse learners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with moderate disabilities across grades K-12
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff to support student development
  • Use differentiated instructional strategies to meet the unique learning needs of each student
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate regularly with parents and guardians
  • Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment promoting academic and social growth

Qualifications:

  • Valid teaching certification in Special Education
  • Experience working with moderate disability populations in K-12 settings, preferably middle school
  • Strong knowledge of special education laws and IEP development
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to create adaptive learning materials and use technology to support instruction

Location: Near Greenfield, MA
