Overview

Pine Haven Boys Center is a private, non-profit, non-sectarian residential and educational facility serving boys ages 6–14 who have experienced trauma, neglect, and behavioral or emotional challenges. Located on over 100 acres in Allenstown, NH, Pine Haven provides intensive therapeutic and academic programming to support student growth and long-term success.

Pine Haven Boys Center is seeking a dedicated, trauma-informed Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to support children in a residential treatment setting with integrated educational, residential, and clinical services. This full-time, in-person role provides leadership in the development, implementation, and oversight of behavior supports for youth with complex emotional, behavioral, and developmental needs.

The BCBA plays a critical role in promoting consistency across residential living, school programming, and clinical treatment. This position emphasizes skill-building, emotional regulation, accountability, and positive behavior change while maintaining a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment for boys in care.

Key Responsibilities

Behavioral & Clinical Services

  • Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and ongoing behavioral evaluations for boys in residential care
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) aligned with clinical and educational treatment goals
  • Utilize Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) strategies to address aggression, impulsivity, emotional dysregulation, and skill deficits
  • Analyze behavioral data to assess progress, identify trends, and guide treatment decisions
  • Ensure behavior interventions are trauma-informed, developmentally appropriate, and strength-based

Residential Treatment Support

  • Provide direct consultation, coaching, and modeling to residential staff to support consistent implementation of behavior plans
  • Support staff in managing high-risk behaviors using proactive de-escalation and non-punitive strategies
  • Assist in crisis prevention planning and participate in post-incident behavioral reviews
  • Promote structured, predictable routines that enhance emotional safety and behavioral growth
  • Support a residential culture emphasizing accountability, relationship-building, and skill development

Educational Collaboration

  • Collaborate with educational staff to integrate behavior supports into classroom environments
  • Support behavior goals within IEPs and educational treatment plans, as appropriate
  • Observe youth in educational settings and provide actionable feedback to improve engagement and behavior
  • Align residential and educational expectations to reduce behavioral inconsistency

Team Collaboration & Training

  • Work collaboratively with therapists, case managers, medical providers, and families to support unified treatment goals
  • Provide ongoing training and supervision to residential and educational staff on ABA principles, behavior management, and de-escalation techniques
  • Participate actively in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings
  • Support staff understanding of trauma, attachment disruptions, and developmental delays as they relate to behavior

Documentation & Compliance

  • Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation in accordance with BACB ethical standards, state regulations, and Pine Haven policies
  • Ensure behavior services meet licensing, accreditation, and funding requirements
  • Uphold ethical, professional, and clinical standards in all aspects of service delivery

Additional Responsibilities

  • Prepare and distribute case-related documentation to all required parties
  • Assist in managing concerns that arise with parents, guardians, and external stakeholders
  • Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by the supervisor, particularly during emergencies, to support the safety and welfare of students, families, and the organization

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, Social Work, or a related field
  • Current BCBA certification in good standing
  • Experience working with youth with emotional and behavioral challenges
  • Strong knowledge of behavior assessment, intervention, and data analysis
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with all departments
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills
  • Experience in residential treatment, therapeutic group homes, or youth behavioral health programs preferred
  • Experience working with youth impacted by trauma, neglect, or disrupted attachments preferred
  • Familiarity with crisis intervention and behavior stabilization in residential settings preferred
  • Experience training and supervising direct care staff preferred

Work Environment

This position is based on-site across Pine Haven’s residential homes, classrooms, and clinical settings. The role requires the ability to respond calmly and effectively in high-stress situations and to move throughout campus as needed. Participation in crisis prevention and behavioral intervention techniques is required.
