Desired Qualifications & Experience:

Current Special Education teaching certification (state-appropriate)
Strong foundation in IEP development and implementation
Proficiency differentiating instruction for a range of learning abilities

Experience with behavior intervention plans, data collection, and progress monitoring a plus

Primary Responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student goals
Provide direct instruction and adapt curriculum materials to address students’ unique needs
Work closely with general education teachers to ensure classroom accessibility and accommodations
Monitor and document student progress, sharing updates with families and educational teams
Utilize evidence-based strategies and positive behavioral supports
Participate in IEP meetings, staff development, and multidisciplinary collaboration
Create a respectful, safe, and motivating learning space
