Job Description

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Site Operations Contractor to maintain the cleanliness, organization, and overall presentation of an active robotics development facility. This is a hands-on, operationally focused role — not a traditional janitorial position — requiring a high standard of space management to support daily operations and senior leadership visits. The ideal candidate will take ownership of space utilization, equipment organization, and floor layout while collaborating closely with robotics leads and site teams to drive continuous improvement. Strong communication across phone, Slack, and email is essential, as is the ability to initiate and complete process improvement projects from start to finish.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain high standards of organization, cleanliness, and presentation across active robotics development spaces, including preparation for senior leadership visits
  • Organize and relocate equipment from inventory into designated areas using forklifts and powered industrial truck (PIT) equipment
  • Apply and maintain floor taping and clearly designated equipment zones to optimize space utilization
  • Partner with robotics leads and site teams through regular stand-ups to align on priorities, surface issues, and drive operational improvements
  • Transport trash and recycling to nearby dumpsters using pallet jacks and PIT equipment
  • Communicate proactively with partner teams via phone, Slack, and email to identify and implement effective solutions
  • Initiate process improvement projects within the department and drive them through to completion
  • Take a hands-on, proactive approach to all site organization and operational needs

Skills

  • Experience in warehouse or manufacturing operations and space organization
  • Forklift and PIT certification with the ability to safely operate heavy equipment in compliance with all regulations
  • Strong organizational skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving and onsite prioritization
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills across multiple platforms including Slack and email
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize effectively, and follow up on outstanding items
  • Aptitude to quickly learn new systems, software, and operational tracking tools
  • Experience coordinating site operations and working cross-functionally with team leads
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and operational tracking systems

Experience

  • Background in warehousing, manufacturing, robotics, or a similar operational environment
  • Experience working with high-volume processes in a fast-paced setting
  • Experience identifying and implementing process improvements within an operational or facilities context
  • Ability to work weekends and overtime as required

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Forklift and/or PIT equipment certification required or ability to obtain upon hire

This is a unique opportunity to play a critical role in the day-to-day success of a cutting-edge robotics facility, working alongside innovative teams in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. If you take pride in operational excellence, thrive on solving problems before they arise, and want to contribute meaningfully to a high-visibility program, this role offers the perfect blend of hands-on impact and collaborative engagement.
