Job Title: Registered Dietitian
Duration: 13 weeks

Pay Rate: $65.62/hr on W2
Shifts: Day Shift
Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Dietitian to oversee administrative and therapeutic dietetic services in a Long Term Care setting. This role is responsible for managing food operations, resident nutritional care, and maintaining strong collaboration with Nursing staff, Physicians, and the interdisciplinary care team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess residents’ nutritional needs and determine appropriateness of therapeutic diets.
- Complete nutritional assessments and maintain accurate documentation in PointClickCare (PCC) electronic medical record.
- Collaborate with Physicians, Nursing staff, and other healthcare personnel regarding nutritional needs and diet restrictions.
- Inspect meals served to ensure compliance with prescribed diets, quality standards, palatability, and presentation.
- Educate residents and families on nutrition principles, dietary plans, food selection, and meal preparation.
- Prepare and present diet instructions, charting, and related documentation.
- Maintain communication with Medical, Nursing, Dietary, and Administrative teams to develop procedures, resolve issues, and improve resident food service.
- Evaluate resident food service programs and menus on an ongoing basis while coordinating with the Production Supervisor.
- Complete MDS assessments accurately and timely.
- Provide direct resident dietitian consultations, document visits, and communicate findings to appropriate staff.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, skin care rounds, and care planning sessions.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Food/Nutrition or related field.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a Long Term Care setting.
- Working knowledge of state documentation procedures.
- Registered Dietitian credential with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
- Licensed by the State of Massachusetts.
- Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with PointClickCare (PCC) EMR system.
- Knowledge of therapeutic diets, geriatric nutrition, and long-term care regulations.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a resident-focused environment.
