A nursing opportunity is available for experienced RNs skilled in cardiac stepdown care, focusing on patients recovering from advanced cardiac procedures. This contract position is located in Nashua, NH, providing a specialized clinical environment that supports professional growth in cardiac telemetry nursing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide nursing care for post-procedural cardiac patients, including those recovering from TAVR, cardiac catheterizations, ablations, Watchman device implantation, and cardiac drip management.
  • Monitor telemetry and maintain patient safety using advanced cardiac monitoring equipment.
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams including charge nurses, patient care technicians, and monitor techs to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Document patient care accurately using the Allscripts electronic medical record system.
  • Adhere to unit guidelines and hospital policies to support optimal patient outcomes.
  • Maintain certification compliance, including BLS and ACLS.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Registered Nurse license with telemetry and cardiac post-procedural experience required.
  • Proficiency in managing care for patients with pacemakers, STEMI, cardio MEMS devices, and related advanced cardiac procedures.
  • Experience in a cardiac stepdown or progressive care unit preferred, with a patient ratio of approximately 1:4.
  • Ability to work every other weekend and float to similar units as needed.
  • Strong critical thinking skills and ability to function efficiently in a fast-paced cardiac care setting.
