A clinical imaging technologist opportunity is available at a community-based hospital in Barre, VT, offering a contract position well-suited for professionals skilled in MRI and other imaging modalities. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and specialized imaging exams across modalities including MRI, CT, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, and radiography.
- Administer contrast injections and operate advanced imaging equipment such as a wide-bore MRI, multiple CT units, and ultrasound machines.
- Support surgical and interventional procedures including fluoroscopy.
- Float between departments like radiology, OR, fluoroscopy, and off-site locations as scheduled.
- Participate in weekend, holiday, and call rotations, primarily covering Saturdays, Sundays, and holiday mornings.
- Maintain compliance with dress codes and safety standards, including wearing scrubs, closed non-skid shoes, and minimal jewelry.
- Document procedures accurately using the electronic health record system.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of clinical imaging experience required.
- Appropriate ARRT certifications based on modality (MRI, CT, vascular ultrasound, etc.).
- Ability to perform multiple modalities, including CT and X-ray, is essential.
- Comfortable working in a department with 40+ staff and able to work independently during night shifts when necessary.
- Excellent patient care, communication skills, and adherence to safety protocols.
Schedule:
- Typically 8-hour shifts with varied hours from early morning to late evening.
- On-call coverage required, including weekend and holiday shifts.
