Key Qualifications:

Prior professional experience working with Level 3 Autism caseloads is required
Background in a school setting is preferred
Comfortable providing support to non-verbal students and students with moderate to severe behavioral needs
Willingness to assist with toileting as part of student care
Training in CPI/restraint and de-escalation is a plus
Paraprofessional, Behavior Specialist, and Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) credentials are highly valued

Role Responsibilities:

Provide compassionate, individualized support in 1:1 caseloads with K-8 students
Implement behavior intervention strategies and collaborate with teachers and therapists
Assist students with academic activities, personal care, and social skill-building
Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe environment throughout the school day
Handle challenging behaviors with patience and professionalism, utilizing de-escalation techniques as needed
Record student progress and communicate effectively with staff and families
