Job DescriptionSchedule:
- Guaranteed hours: 40 hours per week.
- Monday–Friday: 7:00 AM–4:00 PM, with arrival/preparation between 6:30 AM and 7:00 AM.
- Every third weekend: Saturday and Sunday, 7:00 AM–12:00 PM, with arrival/preparation between 6:30 AM and 7:00 AM.
- No on-call requirements.
Position Overview:We are seeking an experienced Inpatient Pharmacist for a temporary assignment at a critical access hospital in Berlin, New Hampshire. The pharmacist will support inpatient pharmacy operations and provide clinical pharmacy services across the ICU, Labor & Delivery, Medical-Surgical, and Emergency Department units.
This role requires strong hospital pharmacy experience, independent clinical judgment, and the ability to work with minimal on-site supervision, particularly during weekend coverage.
Responsibilities:
- Review, verify, and dispense inpatient medication orders.
- Provide clinical dosing guidance and respond to medication-related inquiries.
- Identify drug interactions, contraindications, and medication safety concerns.
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and nursing staff.
- Use Meditech electronic medical records and Omnicell automated dispensing systems.
- Support pharmacy operations across multiple acute care units.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of recent hospital pharmacy experience. Candidates with 1 year may be considered if their experience is entirely hospital-based and includes Meditech experience.
- Active AHA BLS certification.
- Active New Hampshire pharmacist license or an accepted compact license.
- Candidates without an active New Hampshire license must submit their application to the NH Board of Pharmacy on the day an offer is accepted.
- Must live more than 50 miles from the facility. Local candidates within 50 miles will not be accepted.
- Must have reliable personal transportation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Critical access hospital experience.
- Meditech EMR experience.
- Omnicell automated dispensing experience.
- Previous travel contract experience.
