Registered Nurse (RN)-$3000 Sign-On Bonus
Premier Rehab & Healthcare at Burlington is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team of healthcare professionals. As an RN, you will provide high-quality nursing care, lead nursing personnel, collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, and help ensure the health, safety, and well-being of our residents.
Responsibilities:

Direct the daily activities of Certified Nursing Assistants in accordance with current federal, state, and local regulations, guidelines, and facility policies and procedures.

Ensure nursing personnel comply with established policies and procedures.

Participate in resident admissions, discharges, and transfers as required.

Monitor residents for changes in condition and notify the physician and resident's family or representative as appropriate.

Accurately document resident status and changes in condition.

Transcribe physician orders to medical records and carry out orders as written.

Prepare and administer medications according to physician orders and monitor residents for adverse effects.

Perform wound treatments as ordered, monitor for changes, and document accordingly.

Schedule resident follow-up appointments and transportation needs as indicated.

Provide nursing leadership and guidance to personnel assigned to the unit.

Provide direct nursing care, including colostomy changes, tube feedings, wound care, suctioning, IV administration, and other clinical services in accordance with facility policies and procedures.

Perform regular rounds to ensure resident needs are being met and assigned duties are completed.

Collaborate with members of the interdisciplinary team to ensure residents' physical, emotional, and clinical needs are addressed.

Communicate concerns or complaints to the appropriate departments and file grievances as necessary.

Report incidents and unusual occurrences to the appropriate supervisor or nursing leadership and participate in investigations as needed.

Participate in end-of-life care as required.

Monitor medication, supply, and equipment inventory and notify appropriate personnel when additional resources are needed.

Initiate, review, and update resident care plans as required.

Promote teamwork, mutual respect, and effective communication among staff.

Participate in the survey process when regulatory inspection surveys occur.
Qualifications:

Current, unencumbered Vermont RN license.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff.

Strong critical-thinking and clinical decision-making skills.

Ability to handle challenging situations with professionalism, patience, and tact.

Commitment to providing compassionate, high-quality resident care.

Ability to work collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary team.
