Job Description

Oscar is working with a leading designer and custom manufacturer of comprehensive solutions for medical devices organization that is looking for an experienced Systems Administrator to join their team.


As the Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for supporting, maintaining, and continuously improving the organization’s technology environment. This role ensures the reliability, security, and performance of IT systems while safeguarding the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of company data and infrastructure.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer, maintain, and support desktop, server, and network hardware and software, including switches, firewalls, servers, workstations, and printers.
  • Manage and support Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, and Microsoft 365 services such as Exchange, OneDrive, SharePoint, and Teams.
  • Provide technical support to end users via helpdesk tickets and phone support, ensuring timely issue resolution.
  • Install, configure, and maintain software for end users and business-critical systems.
  • Monitor system performance, network availability, backups, and overall infrastructure health.
  • Assist with evaluating and recommending hardware and software purchases.
  • Serve as backup support for disaster recovery processes and procedures.
  • Act as secondary support for ERP system administration tasks.
  • Create, update, and maintain system, network, and process documentation.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support IT operations and organizational needs.


Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, plus 3–5 years of systems administration experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts and services, including DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, and VPNs.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, and Microsoft 365 administration.
  • Experience managing VMware or comparable virtualization platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with desktop, server, and network hardware and software, including operating system configuration, driver installation, and port configuration.
  • Experience automating administrative tasks using scripting or automation tools such as PowerShell, Power Automate, Python, or similar technologies.
  • High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment.


Nice-to-haves:

  • Experience with application deployment, patch management, backup, and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Familiarity with endpoint security solutions and desktop imaging tools.
  • Experience with SQL Server administration.
  • Understanding of ERP systems and supporting infrastructure.
  • Experience managing Unix/Linux systems.
  • Relevant industry certifications.
