Job Description
The Hardware Sales Associate reports to store Management and is responsible for providing outstanding customer service and building long lasting relationships with our customer base. This role combines product knowledge, customer service, cashiering, merchandising, inventory support, and store maintenance. Qualified candidates will work in a fast-paced team atmosphere with the opportunity to grow within the company. Prior hardware experience preferred. Retail store experience required.
Duties include:
- Provide excellent customer service through salesmanship, product advice & positive interaction.
- Build lasting relationships with our customers.
- Operate the cash register/computer system for all retail/commercial transactions
- Store ordering, replenishment and stocking of merchandise for the sales floor
- Maintain the store’s visual appearance, cleanliness and safety.
- Sorting and staging of merchandise received at the store.
- Loading & unloading daily deliveries inside and outside of the building.
- Working with management to grow the business.
Responsibilities include:
- Ability to lift, move and carry items up to 75lbs.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule within the hours our store is open for business.
- A strong work ethic and ability to contribute to a team environment.
- A commitment to outstanding customer service.
- Ability to implement company procedures & policies.
- Ability to communicate clearly with store personnel and our customers.
- Read, Write and Understand the English language
- Ability to operate store equipment and perform basic maintenance on such.
- Physically able to stand for prolonged periods and/or move about the entire store without assistance.
- Understanding of basic math skills and knowledge of units of measurement.
