Position: Certified Massage Therapist - 2 positions available *Hiring W2 employees
Compensation: 50% commission
Perks: 1 bodywork session per month at 50% off, 1 free sauna session per month
Hours available: as of October 28th we have the below shifts to fill with fresh hands...
Monday AM shift (8a - 2p) and PM shift (2:30p - 8:30)
Tuesday AM shift (8a - 2p)
Wednesday PM shift (2:30p - 8:30p)
Thursday AM shift (8a - 2p) and PM shift (2:30p - 8:30)
Friday PM shift (2:30p - 8:30p)
Saturday PM shift (2:30p - 8:30p)
Sunday AM shift (8a - 2p) and PM shift (2:30p - 8:30)
Start date: November 1st 2026 *earliest possible

About The Position
We are seeking skilled and compassionate Certified Massage Therapists to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various massage therapies and techniques, is genuinely excited to provide truly exceptional client care and is coachable.

- Clients come back because of the therapist they work with, their experience with YOU matters most
- All the marketing in the world won’t create a committed client base, the experience the client has with the therapist does
- It is costly to generate new clients and therefore essential to have healthy client retention
Responsibilities
- Perform professional therapeutic massages tailored to the needs and preferences of each client
- Conduct a thorough and thoughtful intake for each client through which you leave the client feeling truly heard and seen for what brings them in to see you
- Ensure each client has filled out and signed the intake form
- Clear communication with each client to ensure a consistent and high-quality experience
- Follow professional draping techniques
- Maintain SOAP/progress notes for each client
- Constant consideration that clients can book 90 days in advance when booking on-line and informing the business of needs for time off so as to not inconvenience client schedules
- Schedule clients for follow-up appointments
- Working within your scope of practice as a massage therapist
- Sobriety at all times while on the premises for purposes of your duties at HAVEN Massage & Sauna
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the room your are assigned to and the shared spaces
- Opening, between client and closing duties
Requirements
- Massage therapy certification from an accredited massage therapy training program
- Registration as a bodyworker with the state of Vermont
- Personal professional liability insurance coverage
- Top tier communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to giving the client the experience they ask for, not the one you think they need.
- Willingness to express your needs, concerns and opinions to the owner of the practice
- The ability to have a team-first approach that values collaboration, punctuality and consistency
- The ability to receive constructive feedback
- Trustworthy and the ability to handle confidential information
- Proficiency with technology; booking software, email, payment systems etc.
- Respect the shared workspace as well as the coworkers and colleagues within it
- Informing the business of needs for time-off in a way that doesn’t require the rescheduling of existing bookings *barring real emergencies
- Attendance for 1-on-1 quarterly meetings with the owner and any staff meetings or trainings that are scheduled
