Exciting opportunities await for a dedicated Special Education Teacher at the elementary level for the upcoming 2026-2027 academic year. This full-time, contract position offers the chance to support young learners across both second and fifth grades in two welcoming school environments near Nashua, NH. As a vital member of a collaborative school team, you’ll positively impact approximately 15 students requiring your expertise in both teaching and case management.

Your commitment will span the academic calendar from August 2026 through June 2027, with regular Monday through Friday hours totaling 32-37.5 hours per week. You’ll work closely with education professionals, families, and support staff to tailor individualized educational experiences, promote student growth, and empower each child to thrive in their learning environment.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid special education teaching credentials/certification (New Hampshire certification preferred, or eligibility to obtain)
• Demonstrated experience developing and implementing IEPs
• Strong background in differentiated instruction and data-driven decision making
• Exceptional communication skills for family and interdisciplinary teamwork
• Previous experience with elementary special education caseloads is highly desirable
• Passion for supporting diverse learners and fostering an inclusive classroom atmosphere

Responsibilities:

• Teach and manage a caseload of about 15 students across two elementary grade levels
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Conduct academic and behavioral assessments
• Collaborate closely with regular education teachers, therapists, and families
• Participate in meetings, maintain records, and ensure compliance with special education law
