As part of this role, you’ll leverage your expertise in school nursing to respond to student health needs, manage care plans, and offer guidance on wellness practices in a close-knit educational community.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active RN license in the state required
- Previous experience in school nursing or pediatric settings preferred
- Exceptional communication and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing situations and diverse student needs
- Commitment to confidentiality and professional ethics
Responsibilities:
- Administer daily medications and treatments as authorized
- Respond to student illnesses, injuries, and emergencies
- Document health interactions and maintain accurate medical records
- Collaborate with school staff to support Individualized Health Plans (IHPs)
- Educate staff and students on health, hygiene, and safety practices
- Promote a positive, nurturing environment for all students during the program
