About This Role
We are seeking professionals to join our team at Community Action Partnership Hillsborough Rockingham Counties (CAPHR) Head Start and Early Head Star as we train and support teachers at all levels of their career. The Social Emotional Coach will provide Practice Based Coaching and support for Head Start and Early Head Start programs, as well as help staff implement effective teaching practices that lead to positive outcomes for children.
This position is 35 hours per week for 42 weeks per year.

What You'll Do
- Implement the Practice Based Coaching model with the necessary level of fidelity.
- BUILD and maintain positive, supportive relationships with teaching staff to help them grow through the coaching cycle.
- Plan and manage schedules to support the Practice Based Coaching cycle.
- Conduct focused observations and provide supportive and constructive feedback to help teachers improve their instructional practices.
- Collaborate with teaching staff to develop and implement ongoing goals, offering encouragement, support, motivation, and resources as needed.
- Provide the necessary level of support to help staff meet their established goals, which may include modeling, co-teaching, observing, or providing materials and resources.
- Utilize evidence-based tools, such as CLASS and Creative Curriculum Fidelity Tool, to support meeting goals and promoting positive outcomes for children.
Requirements
- Obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education.
- Understand the unique needs of individual children in relation to their development and its impact on learning and socialization.
- Familiar with and well-versed in best practices such as the Pyramid Model and CLASS.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in Head Start or Early Head Start programs.
- At least 3 years of experience as a lead teacher in a child-centered classroom.
