Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist in Charge experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A dynamic opportunity is available for a Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) to lead an independent closed-door pharmacy serving “at home” patients with multi-dose blister pack prescriptions. The position requires immediate availability due to the current PIC’s upcoming departure. This is a contract role with the potential to convert to permanent based on mutual fit.
Location: Boston, MA
Job Type: Contract (4-6 weeks, with possible contract-to-hire)
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of a closed-door pharmacy, including PV1 and PV2 prescription verification
- Supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure smooth workflow and compliance
- Manage regulatory and administrative duties to maintain pharmacy standards
- Facilitate seamless transition and training with outgoing PIC
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Previous experience as a Pharmacist in Charge in a closed-door or LTC pharmacy setting
- Familiarity with multi-dose/blister pack medication distribution
- Proficient in Pioneer Rx pharmacy system
- Strong leadership skills with a positive, solution-oriented mindset
- Effective communication skills for team collaboration and patient safety
