This position centers on creating an inclusive, supportive educational environment through evidence-based practices, collaborative consultation, and student-centered interventions. Your specialized knowledge will help shape and guide the school’s approach to mental wellness, ensuring each student reaches their full potential.
Desired Qualifications:
- Minimum of three years of experience in a relevant school or educational setting (strongly preferred)
- Master’s degree in School Psychology or related field (preferred)
- Comprehensive understanding of tiered interventions and social-emotional learning (SEL) curriculum
- Demonstrated success in working with students with counseling goals outlined on IEPs
- Ability to effectively communicate with colleagues, students, and families
- Strong organizational and time management skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to identify and address students’ behavioral, emotional, and mental health needs
- Implement and monitor tiered interventions and individualized supports
- Provide direct counseling to students with goals on their IEPs, helping them build resilience and self-regulation skills
- Collaborate with teachers, administrative staff, and families to foster student growth and well-being
- Support the school community with training and resources centered around SEL and positive behavior
