Who we need:


The Fitness Manager will oversee the planning, development, and daily operations of the fitness facilities within the real estate property managed by the company. This role is pivotal in ensuring that residents and tenants have access to well-maintained, safe, and engaging fitness environments that promote health and wellness. The Fitness Manager will collaborate closely with property management teams to align fitness offerings with the overall community experience and resident satisfaction goals. They will also be responsible for coordinating programs, and maintaining equipment to the highest standards. Ultimately, this position aims to enhance the value of the property by delivering exceptional fitness services that contribute to tenant retention and community engagement.


What you’ll do:

  • Manage and supervise all fitness center operations, including scheduling, maintenance, and cleanliness of equipment and facilities.
  • Develop and implement fitness programs, classes, and events tailored to the diverse needs of residents and tenants.
  • Collaborate with property management and leasing teams to promote fitness amenities and support resident engagement initiatives.
  • Monitor budget and expenses related to fitness operations, including equipment procurement and maintenance contracts.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain up-to-date certifications for staff and facility standards.
  • Collect and analyze feedback from residents to continuously improve fitness offerings and address any concerns promptly


What we’re looking for:

  • Associate’s degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Sports Management, or a related field, preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience managing fitness facilities or programs, preferably within residential or commercial real estate environments.
  • Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) or equivalent certification from a recognized organization (e.g., ACE, NASM).
  • Additional certifications such as Group Fitness Instructor, CPR/AED, or Wellness Coaching.
  • Strong knowledge of fitness equipment, health and safety standards, and facility management.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to effectively manage staff and interact with residents.
  • Experience working in a property management setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop innovative wellness programs that drive resident satisfaction.


Skills:

The Fitness Manager will utilize their leadership and organizational skills daily to manage facility operations, and ensure a safe environment for all users. Strong communication skills are essential for engaging with residents, addressing their fitness needs, and collaborating with property management teams. Technical knowledge of fitness equipment and health standards will be applied to maintain and upgrade facilities effectively. The ability to analyze resident feedback and fitness trends will guide the development of relevant and appealing programs. Additionally, proficiency in fitness management software will streamline administrative tasks and enhance reporting accuracy.
