In Brattleboro, you’ll join a dedicated team within a dynamic healthcare system that values patient-centered care and professional growth. You’ll play a pivotal role in the multidisciplinary respiratory care team, delivering evidence-based therapies to patients with a range of cardiopulmonary conditions. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include conducting comprehensive assessments of respiratory status, initiating and adjusting ventilator settings for both acute and stable patients, performing airway clearance techniques, and delivering chest physiotherapy and inhaled therapies as prescribed. You’ll collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and therapy assistants to develop and implement care plans, document accurately in electronic medical records, and monitor response to treatment with an eye toward timely weaning from ventilatory support when clinically appropriate. You’ll also participate in rounds, contribute to rounding discussions, educate patients and families about treatment plans, and serve as a resource for respiratory care best practices.
