Commercial Property Manager / Assistant Property Manager
Boston, MA
Immediate Opening
The Liberty Group is partnering with a growing commercial real estate ownership group in Downtown Boston to hire a Property Manager or Assistant Property Manager for a highly visible office property portfolio.
This is an excellent opportunity for a driven property management professional who enjoys building relationships, improving operations, and taking ownership of a property's overall performance.
What You'll Do

Manage daily operations of commercial office properties

Serve as the primary point of contact for tenants, vendors, and ownership

Review leases, rent rolls, vendor contracts, and operating expenses
-
Coordinate building maintenance, repairs, and capital improvement projects
-
Conduct regular property inspections and identify preventative maintenance needs
-
Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and service performance
-
Monitor tenant accounts, collections, and delinquency reporting
-
Prepare monthly financial and operational reports
-
Assist with budgeting, expense tracking, and cost-saving initiatives
-
Support lease renewals, tenant retention efforts, and tenant communications
-
Ensure compliance with building, safety, and regulatory requirements
What Success Looks Like
Within your first 60 days, you will:

Gain a complete understanding of the property's operations, tenants, and financial performance
-
Build strong relationships with tenants, vendors, and ownership
-
Establish reporting procedures and maintenance plans
-
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs
-
Implement proactive solutions to prevent issues before they become larger problems
Qualifications
Required:
-
Property management experience (commercial or multifamily)
-
Strong financial and budgeting skills
-
Experience managing vendors, contractors, and service agreements
-
Excellent communication and customer service abilities
-
Strong organizational and time management skills
-
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Preferred:
-
Experience with Yardi, AppFolio, Buildium, Innago, or similar property management software
-
Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire alarm, and other building systems

Experience with lease administration and tenant relations
-
Basic accounting or bookkeeping knowledge
