This position requires a rotating shift of 12 hours, covering both day and evening schedules. The shifts run from 0645 to 1915, with one or two 12-hour calls during the week from 1900 to 0715. Additionally, there will be one full weekend of call every 5 weeks.
\n\nJob Description\n
We are seeking an experienced Cardio Vascular Operating Room Registered Nurse to join our team. This role demands flexibility to meet the unit and patient care needs, with potential floating to other OR suites including General, Ortho, Neuro, and ENT. When floated, the nurse will circulate but not be required to scrub.
\n\nResponsibilities\n
- \n
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac and open-heart surgery.
- Assist with the preparation and management of the operating room environment.
- Monitor patient vitals and post-operative recovery.
- Collaborate with surgical teams and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation using Epic EMR.
- Participate in on-call rotations as required.

\n\nRequired Experience / Certifications / Licensure\n
- \n
- Active RN license.
- BLS certification required; CNOR preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of recent OR RN experience, with high competency in Cardio Vascular / Open Heart OR.
- Prior travel experience is required.
- Experience in a large academic teaching hospital is essential.
- Epic experience from within the past 2 years is mandatory and non-negotiable.
