We are seeking a highly organized and experienced front desk coordinator to oversee our administrative operations and ensure efficient functioning of our dental practice. This position will be responsible for managing patient scheduling, handling patient billing and insurance claims (overseeing our dental billing company), addressing accounts receivables, maintaining office records, and ensuring the overall smooth operation of the front desk.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee patient scheduling, ensuring appointments are properly booked.
- Handle patient billing and accounts receivable.
- Understand insurance claims, be able to submit and follow up on outstanding claims
- Verify insurance coverage and eligibility for patients.
- Order administrative supplies.
- Address patient inquiries and concerns in a professional manner.
- Maintain dental records and ensure confidentiality of patient information.
- Monitor and maintain office cleanliness and organization.
- Process insurance payments and reconcile account ledgers
- Communicate with insurance companies to resolve any issues or discrepancies
- Assist patients with insurance-related inquiries and provide guidance on coverage and benefits
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date insurance records and documentation
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure proper coding and billing practices
Requirements:
- Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and billing practices.
- Proficiency with dental office software (e.g., Dentrix, Dental Intelligence).
- Strong organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent; previous experience is a plus.
Working Conditions:
- Full-time position, typically 40 hours per week.
- May require evening hours
- Work is performed in a dental office setting.
