Premier Rehab & Healthcare at Burlington is seeking a compassionate, creative, and organized Activities Director to lead engaging programs and events for our residents.
The Activities Director is responsible for planning and coordinating recreational, social, and therapeutic activities that support the social, emotional, and overall well-being of our residents. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with seniors and creating meaningful experiences that bring residents together.
What You'll Do

Plan and maintain a monthly activities calendar based on residents' interests, abilities, and needs

Organize and lead daily recreational, social, and group activities

Coordinate entertainment, special events, holiday celebrations, and community outings

Encourage and motivate residents to participate in activities

Create an inclusive and welcoming environment where every resident can participate

Coordinate transportation and accompany residents to off-site activities and special events as needed

Work closely with nursing, recreation, and other facility staff to support resident participation

Communicate with residents and families regarding activities and events
-
Coordinate with community organizations and outside resources when appropriate

Maintain activity supplies, equipment, and program areas

Keep activity spaces organized and clean following programs

Complete required activity documentation and participation records

Ensure activities are conducted safely and appropriately for residents
Qualifications

Activities Professional Certificate required or ability to obtain certification within 6 months of hire

Previous experience in a long-term care (LTC), skilled nursing, senior living, or healthcare setting preferred

Experience working with seniors preferred

High school diploma or equivalent

Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills

Creative, compassionate, dependable, and enthusiastic

Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with residents, families, and facility staff

Must be able to successfully pass a background check

Ability to work the required schedule and rotation
