Job Position: Senior Construction Project Manager
Compensation: $115k - $155k+ Dependent on Experience
Location: Middleboro, MA (preferred) or Agawam, MA
Employment Type: Full-Time
About the Role
New England Ammonia Safety, Inc. (NEAS) is seeking an experienced and driven Project Manager to lead construction and installation projects from award through closeout. This role is responsible for the overall planning, execution, financial performance, coordination, and successful completion of projects ranging from $50,000 to $5,000,000.
Reporting directly to the President and Vice President, the Project Manager will work alongside the Engineering Manager, Construction Foreman, and Service Manager to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and within budget while maintaining exceptional customer satisfaction.
This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys balancing field and office responsibilities, and has a strong understanding of industrial construction and mechanical project execution.
What You’ll Do
Project Leadership & Execution
- Manage installation and construction projects from initial handoff through final project closeout.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, milestones, and execution plans.
- Coordinate labor, subcontractors, materials, equipment, and internal resources to meet project objectives.
- Monitor project progress and proactively resolve issues affecting scope, schedule, cost, or quality.
- Ensure projects remain on budget and support financial forecasting throughout execution.
- Review contracts, proposals, drawings, and project specifications to ensure successful delivery.
Customer & Team Coordination
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout project execution.
- Lead internal project meetings and maintain communication between engineering, construction, service, and leadership teams.
- Coordinate with the Engineering Manager to support design development and project execution.
- Work closely with Construction Foremen to ensure field operations align with schedules and project goals.
- Partner with the Service Manager to support project turnover and customer transition after completion.
Financial & Administrative Management
- Manage project budgets, cost tracking, forecasting, billing milestones, and change orders.
- Review purchase orders, subcontractor agreements, and project expenses.
- Maintain project documentation including schedules, RFIs, submittals, meeting notes, and closeout packages.
- Identify project risks and develop mitigation plans.
Safety & Quality
- Support and promote company safety policies and safe work practices across all projects by working closely with EHS.
- Participating in job site visits to verify quality standards and compliance requirements are being met.
- Ensure project documentation supports customer and regulatory expectations.

Required Qualifications
- Proven experience managing construction, installation, mechanical, industrial, refrigeration, or process system projects.
- Strong understanding of project lifecycle management from kickoff through turnover.
- Experience managing project budgets, schedules, procurement, and customer relationships.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Business, or equivalent experience.
- Experience in industrial refrigeration, ammonia refrigeration, HVAC/R, piping, or mechanical construction.
- Familiarity with construction drawings, submittals, RFIs, and contract administration.
- Experience managing projects in regulated industrial environments.
- OSHA 30 certification preferred.
