Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Civil Design Engineer to join our team. This role involves designing and creating detailed plans for various civil engineering projects, including residential, commercial, and municipal developments. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of site design, land development, and drainage calculations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and design civil engineering plans for diverse projects including residential, commercial, and municipal sectors.
- Utilize Civil 3D and AutoCAD to create detailed engineering drawings and design plans.
- Conduct site assessments and collaborate with local municipalities to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Perform drainage calculations and prepare permit applications for various projects.
- Manage and coordinate with project teams, clients, and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct inspections and surveys during the construction phase to ensure project specifications are met.
- Prepare as-built drawings and project documentation as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Either possess or be able to obtain an Engineer in Training (EIT) preferred.
- 1+ years experience in civil engineering design and site design, preferably in the private sector.
- Proficiency in Civil 3D and AutoCAD is required.
- Knowledge of land development practices and regulations.
- Familiarity with drainage calculations and permit application processes.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members and clients.
