Infection Preventionist RN - Registered Nurse

We are seeking to hire an Infection Preventionist RN - Registered Nurse.

• $44.96 to $58.66 per hour based on skills and experience.

Infection Preventionist RN - Registered Nurse Qualifications:

• Current MA RN - Registered Nurse License.
• Prior experience as a supervisor/manager in a Skilled Nursing Facility required.
• Certification in Infection Control and Epidemiology or Certification from the CDC's “Nursing Home Infection Preventionist Training Course” or willingness to be certified within 2 months of hire.
• Expertise in DPH regulation, with excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• Current BLS certification.

Infection Preventionist RN - Registered Nurse Job Summary:

• Develops, implements and evaluates the St. Patrick's Manor infection prevention program.
• Develops an annual surveillance plan based on the population served, services provided, and analysis of surveillance data.
• Creates periodic written and oral reports/recommendations to the Director of Nursing.
• Provides leadership, supervision and educational principles on infection prevention and control for staff.
• Arranges opportunities for meaningful education programs and staff trainings during the year.
• Compiles necessary reports for DPH and other regulatory agencies as required.
• Direct care and rounding for Residents as necessary.
