As a paraprofessional, you’ll play a vital role in assisting a small group of students with IEPs integrated into the general student population. Key Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a paraprofessional, preferably in a school setting
- Comfort and capability managing toileting, personal care, and related needs
- Familiarity with academic support strategies for students with diverse abilities
- Ability to build rapport and communicate effectively with students, teachers, and staff
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and a positive learning environment
- Patience, adaptability, and a team-player mindset
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with IEPs
- Assist with toileting, personal care, and mobility as needed
- Facilitate engagement in classroom activities and academic tasks
- Collaborate with teachers and special education staff to implement student accommodations
- Promote an inclusive, respectful environment for all learners
- Monitor student progress and document relevant observations
- Support transitions throughout the school day to ensure student safety and well-being
This contract opportunity runs Monday through Friday, from August 26, 2026, to June 15, 2027, with daily hours of 8:40 AM to 3:33 PM. This is a rewarding chance to help students reach their goals and maximize their independence in a supportive learning community.
