Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A middle school special education teacher is needed for a contract position serving grades 4th through 7th in Uxbridge, MA. This role focuses on providing tailored instruction and support to students with special education needs, ensuring their academic and social growth in alignment with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement specialized lesson plans for students in grades 4 through 7 with diverse learning needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to create inclusive educational experiences
- Monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to student performance and compliance with special education regulations
- Support students social and emotional development within the school environment
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid teaching certification in special education
- Experience working with middle school-aged children (grades 4-7) preferred
- Strong knowledge of special education laws and best practices
- Effective communication and classroom management skills
- Ability to collaborate in a team-oriented educational setting
